devilspie2 software package provides Lua-based window matching utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install devilspie2
devilspie2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the devilspie2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep devilspie2 *
You will get with devilspie2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
